CEACAM1 Protein, Human (N-His)

CEACAM1 protein participates in multiple biological processes. It facilitates insulin clearance and regulates liver lipogenesis, by being phosphorylated by the insulin receptor (INSR) in response to insulin stimulation. This phosphorylation enhances insulin endocytosis and degradation, reducing fatty acid synthesis. Additionally, CEACAM1 interacts with SHC1 to suppress cell proliferation, inhibiting the MAPK3/ERK1-MAPK1/ERK2 and phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase pathways.
