Synaptophysin presynaptic vesicles
Specificity Note:
This product is specific for Synaptophysin a glycoprotein located in the membrane of synaptic vesicles that is ubiquitously expressed in all neurons. It is widely used as a marker for nerve terminals and for differentiating neuroendocrine tumours. This antibody has been used to detect the following neuronal and adrenal tumours: pheochromocytomas paragangliomas neuroblastomas ganglioneuroblastomas; neuroendocrine tumours of epithelial origin; pancreatic islet cell carcinoma bronchial and gastrointestinal carcinoids and medullary carcinoma of the thyroid.

Purified IgG prepared by affinity chromatography on Protein A
