Genway ID:
GWB-D8B1C5
Specificity:
IL-13
Isotype:
IgG1
Preparation:
Purified IgG prepared by ion exchange chromatography
Buffer Solution:
Tris-NaCl pH7. 4
Preservative Stabilisers:
0. 02% Sodium Azide (NaN3) 1% Bovine Serum Albumin
Immunogen:
Recombinant human IL-13
Specificity:
Specifically recognises human interleukin-13 (IL-13) a 12. 5kDa immunoregulatory cytokine produced primarily by activated T helper type 2 (Th2) cells and also by mast cells and NK cells. IL-13 induces the stimulation of B cell proliferation and antibody production and studies suggest that IL-13 plays an important role in the induction of the pathophysiological features of allergic asthma independently of Immunoglobulin E (IgE) and eosinophils (1). Recommended Negative Controls: MOUSE IgG1 NEGATIVE CONTROL:FITC
Function:
Cytokine. Inhibits inflammatory cytokine production. Synergizes with IL2 in regulating interferon-gamma synthesis. May be critical in regulating inflammatory and immune responses. Subcellular locationSecreted.
Polymorphism:
Gln-130 is a significant risk factor for asthma development. Gln/Gln at position 130 is associated with higher levels of serum total IgE than Arg/Arg in Chinese allergic rhinitis [MIM:607154] patients. Sequence similaritiesBelongs to the IL-4/IL-13 family. Caution: It is uncertain whether Met-1 or Met-15 is the initiator. Sequence cautionThe sequence AAA36107. 1 differs from that shown. Reason: Erroneous initiation. The sequence AAA83738. 1 differs from that shown. Reason: Erroneous initiation. The sequence AAB01681. 1 differs from that shown. Reason: Erroneous initiation. The sequence AAC03535. 1 differs from that shown. Reason: Erroneous initiation. The sequence AAK53823. 1 differs from that shown. Reason: Erroneous initiation. The sequence CAA48824. 1 differs from that shown. Reason: Erroneous initiation.
