Description	47-8D3 reacts with macrophages and detects the well-known leukocyte L1, cystic fibrosis antigen. Using Western blot analysis 47-8D3 was found to detect a single protein band of 14 kD in lysates of human monocytes and granulocytes, which was demonstrated to be the calcium binding protein MRP14. Source: A BALB/c mouse was immunized with human peripheral blood monocyte components. Splenocytes were fused with mouse myeloma cell line NS-1.
Formulation	100 ug purified material in PBS with 0.05% sodium azide. Precaution: Sodium azide is a poisonous and hazardous substance which should be handled by trained staff only.
Application Information	47-8D3 can be used for phenotypical characterization of macrophages and myelomonocytic cells in situ. Staining is strongly enhanced after digestion with trypsin.
