Buffer	Phosphate-buffered (10 mM) isotonic (0.9%, w/v) saline (PBS, pH 7.2) with sodium azide (0.02%, w/v) added as a preservative.
Description	Chickens were immunized with purified recombinant full-length rat peripherin protein (57 kDa). After repeated injections into the hens, immune eggs were collected, and the IgY fractions were purified from the yolks. These IgY fractions are diluted 1:10 with 1% bovine serum albumin (to reduce absorption) in phosphate-buffered isotonic saline solution (PBS) with 0.02% sodium azide (as a preservative).
Recommended Dilutions	1:2000-1:5000 for immunohistochemistry and immunocytochemistry using 2% paraformaldehyde-fixed tissues or cells. 1:5000-1:10000 for western blotting. Note that these dilutions are meant to serve as starting points, and that optimal dilutions may vary.
Volume	Regular vials contain 200 µ, l of this antibody preparation.
