This monoclonal antibody is aseptically packaged and formulated in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline (150 mM NaCl) PBS pH 7.2 - 7.4 with no carrier protein, potassium, calcium or preservatives added.
Functional grade preclinical antibodies are manufactured in an animal free facility using only In vitro protein free cell culture techniques and are purified by a multi-step process including the use of protein A or G to assure extremely low levels of endotoxins, leachable protein A or aggregates.
Functional grade preclinical antibodies may be stored sterile as received at 2-8°C for up to one month. For longer term storage, aseptically aliquot in working volumes without diluting and store at -80°C. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles.

WB The suggested concentration for this CD1d (clone D5) antibody for use in western blotting is 1-10 μg/ml.
IP
Clone D5 recognizes an epitope on human CD1d.
CD1d is expressed on monocytes, DCs, macrophages, and epithelial cells.
CD1d antibody, D5, recognizes human CD1d, also known as CD1.1 and Ly-38, a 48 kDa type 1 membrane glycoprotein that belongs to the cluster of differentiation 1 (CD1) family of glycoproteins. CD1d is expressed on epithelial cells and monocyte-derived antigen presenting cells (APCs), including monocytes, DCs, and macrophages1, 2. CD1d is an MHC class I-like molecule involved in the presentation of lipid antigens, such as α-galactosylceramide (α-GalCer), to a highly conserved T cell subset, named invariant natural killer T (iNKT) cells or CD1d-restricted T cells1. Following activation, iNKT cells rapidly proliferate and produce large amounts of cytokines and cytolytic mediators3, 4.
