PuroMAG™ Plasmid MAXIprep Kit, Magnetic

The PuroMAG™ Plasmid MAXIprep Kit  is designed to provide a simple and easy-to-use method for extraction and purification of plasmid DNA from cultured bacterial cells using silica-coated magnetic beads.

This purification technology is based on plasmid binding to silica coated magnetic beads, which allows for efficient removal of genomic DNA, protein, salt, and other contaminants. Silica coated magnetic beads provide the fastest and simplest method for the extraction of plasmid DNA on a MAXI scale compared to gravity flow ion exchange of silica spin column kits. With short 2 minute magnetic separation steps, the  protocol can be completed in under 30 minutes. Bead binding and washing steps are all performed on a magnetic rack without the need for centrifugation.

The PuroMAG™ buffer formulations produce highly purified plasmid DNA for downstream applications such as transfection, enzymatic digestion, or PCR. The PuroMAG™ Plasmid MAXIprep Kit can be used to extract up to 500 µg of plasmid DNA from 300 mL of overnight bacterial culture.

Our PuroMAG™ Plasmid MAXIprep Kit can be used with Luna Nanotech's 4-Position MAXI Magnetic Rack (Cat# MGRM-004), or 12-Position MAXI Magnetic Rack (Cat# MGRM-012).
